The peak tourist season is from May through September. During these months, the days are longer so more light will bath the canyon walls for longer. However, it does stay relatively warm all year round so if you want to avoid the crowds and still achive those stunning photos, you can do this during the winter months.

The best time to tour Antelope Canyon is during the afternoon, between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm. Between those times the sun is at its highest point in the sky and allows the most light to filter through the canyon. However if you want to avoid crowds the early and late tours provide a more intimate tour of Antelope Canyon while casting an amber glow on the canyon walls from the sunrise/sunset.

These are only visible in Upper Antelope Canyon (because it is narrower at the top than the bottom). They reach the bottom of the canyon during the last 2 weeks of June and mostly on tours between 10AM and 2PM when the sun is the highest in the sky for the year. Because the canyon is curvy, there are other times of the year where they may be visible for brief periods of time, but only partially down the walls of the canyon. It is better to go with the expectation that you will not see them and be delightfully surprised if you do.

Each of these tours takes you through a different part of the world-famous Antelope Canyon, showing you a unique view of one of the most photographed slot canyons in the world. The Upper Antelope Canyon tour takes you though the slot canyon and provides a more intimate experience, is more easily accessible, and is a slightly wider than Lower Antelope Canyon. The Upper Antelope Canyon is shaped like a capital "A", it is narrow at the top of the canyon and wider at the bottom and has little to no incline for the 660 foot (220m) long walk. The Lower Antelope Canyon Tour takes you through the most photographed slot canyon in the world, although it is a tight fit and a steep decent into the slot canyon it is well worth the effort. Lower Antelope Canyon is shaped like the letter "V", narrow at the bottom and wider at the top. The canyon is a single file and one-way tour. Your tour will start at the lower end, descend a staircase and walk back up through the canyon with occasional short ladders to climb. Lower Antelope Canyon is about 1,300 feet (400m) long. The Antelope Canyon Boat Tour takes you you a relaxing journey through Antelope Canyon's final point where it meets Lake Powell, North America's second largest resevoir. Antelope Canyon Boat Tour will leisurely take you down some of Lake Powell's many different off-shoots and canyons which make it one of the most unique lakes you will ever see. Each of our tours depart for different locations, the Upper Antelope Canyon is located in the center of Page, AZ. Conveniently located near most of the resturants in town. The Lower Antelope Canyon is located right next to the mouth of the canyon. There is plenty of parking and the tour offices are in the north building of the parking lot. The Antelope Canyon Boat Tour is located at the Antelope Point Marina, the check-in area is on the east side of the traffic circle.

Don't! Page, Arizona is a destination - You are making an investment of your time, airline tickets, car rentals, and hotel stays. All tours basically include one hour in the canyon, why not really see this amazing natural wonder in its entirety: Upper, Lower, and by Boat? For many people who come here, this is a "bucket list" item, so experience them all NOW! They are not strenuous, so doing more than one in a day is easy. Finish your amazing day with a leisurely sunset boat cruise to explore the sheer cliffs by water and have dinner in one of the best restaurants in area, Jádí To´oh Restaurant at Antelope Point Marina, it is one of the largest floating restaurants in the world.

Both Upper Antelope Canyon tours are going to be the same in those packages, the difference is the Lower Canyon portion of the combo. With the General guided tour of the Lower Canyon, you will be in a group of around 12 people per guide and up to 70 people during that tour time. So there will be a group in front of you and a group behind you but with the single file slot canyon you will still get plenty of opportunity to get pictures without people in your photos. This is going to be similar to the Upper Canyon tour and standard across all operators of the canyons. The Deluxe tour is unique and more exclusive, you will be in a group of 4 people per tour guide and we only allow 12 people per tour time. You will be in the canyon for the same amount of time (about 1 hour) but with less people in the canyon for a more exclusive and intimate experience.

We have designed our combination packages so that there is time for you to travel between the tours. We do not sell you a combo package that doesn't give you the chance to get to the tours. So you can choose a package with the least amount of time between tours without worrying if there is enough time to get there. Or you could leave more time between the tours for getting food or checking out the famous Horseshoe Bend.

The slot canyons can get very hot and it is highly recommended that you bring lots of water to stay hydrated on the tour. Clear plastic water bottles are allowed, however, opaque hydro-flask type water bottles are not allowed. You should also bring a camera to take beautiful pictures of the canyon. No bags of any kind are allowed, although the hikes are not difficult the canyons are tight and extra equpiment is just going to get in the way. You will only be in the canyon for an hour or so, and food is strictly prohibited, please leave anything else in the car or your hotel.

No, all you need is your confirmation number and the name on the reservation, the front desk will check you into your tour and will let you know what you need to do next to enjoy your tour.

As long as you cancel your reservation prior to 72 hours of your tour departure time, you will receive a 95% refund (5% is held for credit card processing fees). If you need to cancel your tour reservation within 72 hours of your tour departure time, you will not be refunded for your tour. You can cancel online Here. In rare cases, the slot canyon will be closed due to heat, if temperatures rises above 110 ℉. The canyon can also be closed due to rain/flooding, please note sometimes the canyon will be closed even if there is no rain in the immediate vicinity, because flash flooding can still occur in the canyon without rain in the area. If the canyon is closed for these reasons you will receive a 100% refund or we will try and move you to another available tour time that works best for you.

At Antelope Canyon NOW we pride ourselves on having seats available when all other tours are booked. You can book a tour up-to an hour before a tour departs, if seats are still available. Please note, if you book a tour within 72 hours of departure, it is non-refundable. Any sold out times on our website are in fact sold out, if a seat becomes available, it will immediately become available to book on our website. If you are looking for a specific time and date that is sold out you will be given the option to join our priority waitlist and will receive an email as soon as that time becomes available. We still suggest you book your reservations as soon as your travel plans are set, you can reserve a spot any time in the canlendar year. Every year we have to renegotiate our terms with the Navajo Nation, this negotitation process happens in November, so usually by late November we will have released the next years schedule. The Upper and Lower Antelope Canyon is located on Navajo land and therefore has a fee for anyone who enters the reservation who is not apart of the Navajo Nation. The fee is $8 per person per day and is already included in the price of your tour. This fee is only per day, so any combo packages you purchase through us, on the same day, has only charged you once for the Navajo fee. Any tour you have booked on Navajo land will already include the fee, so if you have two individual tours you can get the second tour's Navajo fee refunded, by providing the confirmation number of the first tour you attended. For the Antelope Canyon Boat Tour, yes there is a U.S. National Recreation Area entrance fee that is not included in the price of your tour. If you have a valid annual or senior National Park Pass (and are entering in a car), show it at the fee booth and you will not have to pay the fee. If don't have a Parks Pass and you have booked a combo package that includes the boat tour, show them the confirmation email and it will only be $2 per vehicle to enter the marina. If you just have an Antelope Canyon Boat tour and don't have a Parks Pass, then the fee will be $30 per vehicle.
